People-first Performance for Non-Profits.

We help mission-driven organizations strengthen leadership, align strategy, and optimize operations—so you can do more good with the resources you have.

What We Do

Potential 2 Performance (P2P) is a veteran-owned consulting partner for nonprofits. We turn real-world challenges into practical systems, skills, and habits that last—so progress is consistent and sustainable.

Why We Exist

Nonprofits carry big missions with lean resources. We make improvement accessible, affordable, and sustainable—meeting you where you are and scaling support as you grow.

How We Work

Listen first. Clarity on problems, outcomes, and constraints.

Co-design. Plans built with your team, not for them.

Make it usable. Simple tools, clear roles, repeatable routines.

Coach the follow-through. Momentum comes from practice, not slide decks

Founder Snapshot

Dr. Mike Stegen is a decorated U.S. Air Force leader and Organizational Change & Leadership practitioner with more than two decades focused on human performance and learning. Across a 23-year military career, he received formal decorations for leadership and organizational impact, leading complex, safety-critical programs and serving as Director of the Aerospace Physiology Division at the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. His work spanned human factors and safety investigations, instructional systems design, aerospace physiology instruction, curriculum development, and command-level functional management—translating evidence and field realities into safer procedures, clearer roles, and reliable operations.

After retiring from the military, Mike spent two years as Director of Learning & Development on the executive team of a large nonprofit, helping shape organizational strategy while building practical, scalable leadership and manager development. Since 2006 he has taught and designed training that sticks—tools people actually use on the job—and he brings the same clarity and practicality to every engagement with mission-driven organizations.

Mike holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Change & Leadership from the University of Southern California; an M.S. in Organizational Development & Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word (with Distinction); a B.S. in Sociology from Ashford University (Summa Cum Laude); an A.A.S. in Instructor of Military Science; and a Graduate Certificate in Online Instructional Design from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. He is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Across roles, the through-line is the same: build capable leaders, simplify systems, and leave teams with sustainable habits that drive improved performance.
